T'Challa, also known as Black Panther, is the king and protector of Wakanda, a technologically advanced African nation. He first appeared in Captain America: Civil War, portrayed by Chadwick Boseman.
Following his father's death in a bombing at the UN, T'Challa seeks revenge but ultimately chooses a path of justice. He inherits the mantle of Black Panther, granted enhanced strength, agility, and senses from the Heart-Shaped Herb.
His suit is made of vibranium, a nearly indestructible metal found only in Wakanda, making him a formidable warrior. As king, T'Challa fiercely protects Wakanda's secrets and resources, initially remaining isolated from the world.
In subsequent appearances, he grapples with the responsibility of his crown and the dilemma of Wakanda's role in global affairs, eventually opening his nation to offer its technology and aid.
